CADDinformatics is developing tools to enable a scientist to locate chemical structures that are contained in the global patent literature. These chemical structures are identified in the text (e.g. by IUPAC name, trade name, generic name, etc.) and are converted to SMILES strings so that they may be searched for substructures or similarities to a given compound.
